月刊誌「武蔵美通信」

月刊誌「武蔵美通信」とは武蔵野美術大学通信教育課程の連絡ニュース冊子。
2004年度から表紙撮影および取材写真を担当した。
普段通学することはなく自宅などで制作や、学習に取り組まれている通信生の方に少しでも学校の息吹を学校の息吹を感じて頂きたいという制作意図のもと2004年度、2005年度は「学校」がテーマ。
また2年間の取材を通して、一人での制作が多く他の人の制作過程や、取り組むべき課題の進行状況をうまくイメージ出来ないとのとの声を受け、まるで隣のアトリエで誰かが制作している空気を描くことを意図した「アトリエでの一日」が2006年度のテーマとなっている。

さらには2006年には武蔵野美術大学美術資料図書館にて「Cover of musabi-tsushin」と題した。個展を開催した。合わせて展示期間中、編集委員長：白尾隆太郎（武蔵野美術大学教授）デザイナー：清水恒平とのギャラリートークを行った。

What I introduced so far is my artistic works. I also often take pictures upon request which I call “social works”. Doing social works is important since it accelerates my motivation for photography. When I do social works, it is essential that I understand correctly what the clients’ want and to answer their request is helping me to build up the foundation of the way I create my own image.

I took the cover photos of the monthly magazine for the university’s corresponding course called “Musabi-Tsushin” for three years. I work for the university which has this corresponding course and this opportunity enables me to flame out the scenery I see everyday, in other words, to give the new views on daily campus life. I believe this procedure is similar to the role what photography has been playing which is to see what you usually see from a different or new point of view.

I also took the pictures of the special exhibitions at the university museum to contribute them to the exhibition catalogue and for the university’s record. I was fortunate to see the whole procedure on how the exhibition was planned and realized and it was stimulating to capture the image of that productive procedure among the curators and designers.
